Hi Everyone,
The prospect of a Canadian winter is fast approaching, and I'm thinking I have to get outta here! I'm not ready to do another year in Korea, but I would love a contract for 3-6 months. I would be able to pay my own airfare but would need a place to live. Does anyone know of a school in need of someone for a short contract or does anyone know of any recruiters/organizations that would be able to help me find something? I have a degree, a TESOL certificate, and I've taught at a hagwon for 15 months. I'd be looking to leave Canada at the end of September or in October. Thanks for your help!
J

I just finished my job search a couple weeks ago, and looked at literally ever job on every job board i could find for 1 month. In that time I saw at least a dozen jobs, probably closer to 20, that were less than a year, and not summer camp positions either. I ended up signing a 4-month contract with a public school. So those jobs are definitely out there.

I believe it was mithridates who sent me a list of ESL related links a few months ago, before I got here, and that ended up being the best list for me to use. I ran through it every day and found the less-than-a-year contracts there.

Most people told me I wouldn't find a job like this (but mostly because I have no experience or qualifications to teach english), but if you spend 30 mins looking every day, especially with your experience, you'll find it. PM me and I'll dig up that link list.
