Is it possible to send a document from my laptop to the printer hooked up to my desktop? I have a linksys wireless router connected to the desktop from which I run my laptop.

It would beat putting the documents on media then transporting it to print.


I found this site,

I found my IP address of the desktop, went through the steps and had to use "generic network card" and finished it up. It still won't print. ERROR!!

Any Ideas?

I can't access the url in your prev post. So if im off base then ignor this. But I think what you want to do is:

DESSKTOP::
START->SETTINGS->PRINTERS AND FAXS->[mouseover printer] RIGHT CLICK->SHARING

Select share this printer radio button.


LAPTOP::
START->SETTINGS->PRINTERS AND FAXS-> ADD PRINTER

Follow the dialogs to the 2nd screen, then check the 2nd radio button (The one for installing network printers)

Follow it through from there
