Looking with lust at all the swank teaching jobs on Dave's site (singapore, mmm, Hong Kong, tasty, megabucks in OPEC countries, couldn't hurt) I think I oughta get a CELTA or TESOL or something. Those who know, what's the best way to get certified? Are the courses difficult and expensive? Are there good places to go in Korea to get certified? Does reputation of the school matter much? |

I did my CELTA at International House, Budapest. It was affordable and a great place to stay. However, having an EFL teaching cert. doesn't amount to crap in Korea, as far a salary renumeration is concerned. The cert. does help a lot with languge awareness though. |

Khao San Road, Bangkok, Thailand.
You can get any certificate you want there. I highly recommend it. |
