Some boring insurance advice coming up...you will need a couple of different types of insurance
for yourself....life insurance and/or health insurance. Life insurance provides a payout if you die. Normally Health insurance will cover a sum of money for loss of limb to 'loss of earnings cover'.
For 'stuff'...probably contents insurance but also including 'accidental damage' (ie if you drop something) and 'cover away from the home' (you take your laptop out and it gets stolen)
Do a google as you will need cover from a specialist insurer or a Korean insurance company (I think a specialist expat insurer may be better to begin with - that is what I am going to do but haven't done much research into insurance yet).
One tip - sounds obvious but just check the level of cover (ie what is the maximum ££ the insurer will pay) you are getting and what exclusions apply to claims -many people don't. (I work in insurance).
Hope this helps |
