|
|
Hi I have just bought a 2nd hand ibook to use here. I had a pretty old ibook at home which my father has adopted. I had used it with my ipod for quite a while on the manual update within itunes.
Now that I have this new (to me) computer I want to connect my ipod to it. However when I first connect my ipod will it automatically update my ipod - in other words delete all the music that is currently on my ipod because it is not stored on the itunes on this new (to me) computer.
Does an ipod hold its own preferences therefore if I used to use it on my old computer with manual update will it still hold these preferences?
I also belive that there is a key combination you can use to ensure that songs are not deleted, know that?
Help I am confused about this and really dont want to lose the music I have on it already. |

I found this:

| Even when set to update automatically, there is a way to tell iTunes not to update iPod when you connect it to your computer. |
http://docs.info.apple.com/article.html?artnum=93779
Hope it helps. |

Yep that info doc instructions should work.
Good luck with your iPod. Mine died after two months of usage and I lost all the songs that I'd recorded from my CD collection, the entirety of which I sold before I left for Korea. Snazz. |
