Holy crap! so I decided to download Charlie and the Chocolate Factory on DVD (original 1970's) to see if I can use it in conjunction with the audio book for a listening/video exercise with my students. I expected it to take a couple of days but hot damn I'm getting consisten speeds over 500kbs with only 3 seeds and 30 peers. It's even spiked as high as 730kbps - I've never seen anything that good before.
Anyone else, what's your top download speed? |

| Takes me on average about 4 minutes to download the latest Daily Show episodes. They're usually 175megs. |

at my office, i've gotten total download speeds in excess of 1.5MB/sec with torrents. for single, well-seeded torrents i often get 400kbs/sec.
happy days.

BitComet
I used to use BitSpirit, but found all the Chinese annoying, impossible to update, and it couldn't connect to so many torrents I tried to download.
I'm very pleased with BitComet. |

Of course it depends on the seeder to leecher ratio. My highest sigle torrent rate was an amazing 1.2 MEG/sec, yes megabytes. 1400 seeders and 5 leechers. Tere's no way to connect to ALL the seeders or it would have been faster. As it was the movie was comming in so fast Azureus couldnt check it quick enough so the % complete was static as the data poured in.
I love Korean internet! Bittorrent will see I have mega bandwith and heence send me the file faster even if there are only a few seeds, especially if I have alot of upload slots open.
You need seeders that have just as much bandwith for you to leech fast from them.

| What trackers are you guys using that you find files with that many seeders? It seems I am lucky to get 30-50 KB/s. Am I simply looking for files in all the wrong places? |
