well, watched a 1-0 loss against saudi arabia , free VIP seats Laughing , and this question has always croossed my mind. i know its minor, but why are the jerseys and most of the souvenirs PINK. i mean, its not even near red. just wondering if anyone thought that as well. if you buy a replica, its pink not red. i suppose i should use my imagination and PRETEND its red. but its just not the same. not that id ever wear a korean jersey. after watching that game, it just re-enforces why hockey RULES!!!

Apparently it's comprised of men and women, with a homosexual coach. That may just be hearsay, but I believe it. I read it on the Internet so it must be true.

So you are saying you would prefer to watch a coed game of field hockey, THEN a soccer game? That's a lot of time to spend in a stadium at one time. I didn't realize that kind of hockey was so popular.

The Saudi Arabian team was on my flight to Seoul from Kuala Lumpur. They fly economy and get up to use the bathroom a lot.

Yeah, I almost bought one during the World Cup, but then I saw they were pink...

The official Korean team jerseys are made by a certain manufacturer (can't remember if it's Korean or foreign) and the pink ones are Korean name-brand replicas. Apparently, the pink color is used so the manufacturer doesn't get sued by the official maker (or the Korean copies have been licensed under the condition that they aren't identical to the official jerseys).

I think some of the fake ones are even more pink, but the genuine (Nike) article has a definite "winterberry" thing going on

Yes, deciding whether this one is pink or red is a hard call. It certainly is a unique and modern look. I guess they were going for the Korean flag red, which is a light shade of red.

The copies I'm thinking of were made by Kolon Sports and were a very light pink. Be the pinks!

As a side note, I saw on YTN today that the new Korean Reds motto is "Go Reds Together!"

Personally, it just doesn't have the same Konglish ring to it as "Be The Reds" does. But what do I know.
