I've quit my job in Korea to teach at a private high school in the States. Has anyone else done this? What are your thoughts/tips?

I already know the stuff that most people (who haven't done it) know: more prep, tighter ship, fewer sleazy bosses, higher expectations from parents and administration, standard school vacations, higher taxes, possibility of tenure, demand for professionalism, etc.

I want to hear from people who have done it, people who can do more
than repeat the same stuff everyone already knows. What are your experiences, particularly in non-religious schools, and especially regarding salary negotiation?

Any info would be appreciated.
