There used to be an airport shuttle bus down the street from the Hongdae subway exit, near the big wedding hall on the corner. Maybe someone else will have more current (or specific) directions.

Sinchon bus is airport limousine bus number 602, get it from the street running between Sinchon and Ehwa Uni, I can't remember where exactly but I'll tell you tomorrow (that's the bus I get to work every day).

Fare has recently gone up to 8,000 won, pay on the bus- it takes just under an hour and leaves about every 15 mins.

If you're appraoching Hyundai Dept. Store from the Shinchon subway station, walk about one block past the dept. store, and you'll see an airport bus stop (airplane picture included). It's #602 coming from the airport, but I don't think the number going to the airport matters, as long as it says "Incheon Airport" on the front of the bus.

I think it's best to take the bus from Hapjeong station since that's the last stop before the airport and then you don't have to pay too much for the bus and sit through a bunch of stops. directions from subway;

1) get off on Hapjeong station (either line 6 or 2)

2) go upstairs and take exit 1

3) right in front of exit 1 is a regular city bus stop, (do not take) and an airport limousine bus stop (take) where the bus comes every fifteen minutes. The price used to be 7500, James says it has gone up, he's smarter than me, bank on it.

4) next stop is in 40 minutes, Incheon airport, departure floor.

well the #602 bus goes like this

[my house]...[other places]--->Sinchon--->Hongdae---->Hapjeong----> airport

so you'd only be saving yourself about 5-10 minutes of sitting on a bus. If you're taking a subway to Sinchon anyway, then sure- get off at Hapjeong instead, otherwise its just extra hassle.
