Is anyone going? It seems like it is going to be super boring. I mean the one for gyunggi-do (sp?)

People come into public school through different programs or no program at all. There isn't one orientation for everybody---it would be a logistical nightmare anyway.

And it's not as if it would really be optional (or a good idea to skip it if it were) anyway.

Thats the GEPIK orientation he is talking about and its mandatory(kind of) for all new GEPIK teachers. Just be glad its only 3 days! Last year it was 5 and that was 3 days too long.

The only thing that you will get out of it is meeting some of the other teachers(networking) although the majority of them will be like the group last year...apathetic and obtuse.

What do you mean apathetic and obtuse? Is that bad? Will they be upset if I sleep in their classes?

Is it going to be on for sure? I still haven't been told where is it held and I'm guessing I be told that in the last minute by my recuriter. Does anybody know?

My contract stating something about starting off with an orientation period. So far it's consisted of paid vacation.
