I want to get this book as it looks like quite a challenge for my upper elementary kids at the п.

Is it a good book?

Is it a popular book? This is important to my boss, as a book is good only if it sells. Also, it's more likely to be in (re-)print if it's popular.

Any suggestions on how to teach it? Are any of the peripheral texts / tapes / lazers they throw in with it actually worth it?

I taught Postcards 2 for a while. I thought it was a great book. The kids loved the songs, and a lot of the activities are relevant to kids that age (13 and 14). Cognitively, it's a step up from Let's Go kiddy type books, so I found it more interesting to teach.

I taught either Postcards 2 or 3 (I forget) last year. It was a really good book. It followed a story about an Austrailian exchange student in Florida. It was sort of like a soap opera, love triangle and all. It also has references to and pictures of real famous people. You get to compare Fergie's eye and hair colour to that of Keeanu Reeves!!!! The songs are real pop-songs by famous artists (which I found a little hard on the ears). It is a good way to teach them about Western pop-culture. All of the teachers enjoyed teaching it and the kids seemed to like it too. It would work well for older elementary to middle-school kids.
