Not a bad movie, but I"m really curious if Korean censors will chop out parts to do with North Korea...

Not the parts I saw. It wasn't overt that it was N.K. so maybe koreans missed it or maybe they took out parts and left the rest that didn't say what country it was. It was interesting to see the 2 most recent airplane designs shown, and that air tanker idea. Damm, I would not be surprised to know its on the board or already exists.

Really? Not bad??

That movie looked to have box office bomb written all over it. Maybe I will download the thing next week sometime.

Man it was terrrible. I am not sure if you can get any worse, Fantastic 4 wasn't as bad as this piece of trash.

For those who care, if any, Roger Ebert thinks it's one of the worst movies ever. [/quote]

Well, hey.. I've been watching Korean "chick flicks" with the gf lately, so it's been a while since I caught an action movie. Maybe that's why it seemed OK.

Worse than Fantastic Four? No way... THAT was trash. I fell asleep watching that movie!

So those planes are real designs (at least in body)?

If one of the pilots had been gay, I'm sure he would have rated it much higher.

Too much testosterone for Ebert to deal with, I think.

Yes 1 is from lockheed and 1 from boeing, they are competing to see which is taken up by the US military. The Hover jet gets proposals from the Navy and Marines, the other from the airforce. The problem is the cost is too high to have both.

In watching the movie, I did wonder if it was a propaganda piece to sell the idea of these planes to the public. I had read of the airtanker idea previously, but it was noted as a transport craft. Anyway, others can tell you more about them than me.

There are two movie critic schools of thought: Teen age boys who think the quality of a movie is directly proportional to the number of exploding bombs...and everyone else.

Funny, I went into the theater and had to choose between the two. "Stealth" was starting at a more convenient time but I almost chose to wait an hour for "Fantastic 4" because I thought it would be marginally better.

Now having seen both movies (both of which looked pretty dreary from the promos) I found that "Stealth" pleasantly surprised me with a surprising plot twist and an atypical but attractive female character, while Fantastic Four was disappointing pretty much across the board. Maybe it was expectations.

PS: what's the deal with that "Orbit" character in "Stealth"? is he a real person? i didn't see any reason for him to be in the movie.

Chop, chop, chop.

I saw the movie in the theater here (and felt bad about spending the money afterward), and there wasn't one reference to N Korea. All of the Korean-speaking enemies were cut out (or at least not heard), and I think the only reference to the fact that one of the main characters was in the North was something like, "they are ** KM north of the border" (which border, it never says).

I heard through a friend that this was the first movie to have been cut for South Korean audiences solely because the original material portrayed the North poorly.

Stealth is without a doubt the shittiest movie I have ever seen in my life.

Tell me, how the hell does a Stealth bomber sound like a 68' Mustang when it reverses its engines to pull a stunt worthy of only a helicopter? Did not know that the US goverment was now putting carburators in it Stealth planes.

Three piliots talking about national security matters in front of some Thai woman--who could not speak English-- that a black guy picked up in the jungle.

Terrorists are carting around their nuclear warheads in wooden donkey carts. Was is the weight of inter continental nuclear warhead anyways? I would also like to add, that the terrorists feel so secure in their mountain strong hold, that they do not even bother to put even a tarp over them.

The movie was so bad that I walked out and did not get to see the part with the North Koreans.

Glad this piece of garbage has bombed at the box office. Might be up for a couple of Razzies next year.

No way, Jose- I saw Porky's and know what you're up to- you want to trick us into touching your gochu.

I wouldn't be surprised at all to learn that it was your taste in movies (and avatars).

And clothes. I hear they call you 'that American Chav'.
