itaewon.....there's a shop on the road that runs behind burger king...it's the world cup phone store or something like that...or on the road that runs next to BK (not the main one), there's a KTF store that sells 2nd hand phones, and the woman there is really helpful.

You can get used cell phones just about everywhere. People in Korea change cell phones so often so there are tons of used cell phones available for cheap prices. Pretty much every underground arcade has rows of cell phone shops and they all have used phones. Yongsan, technomart, and most cell phone shops on the street. You'll have to ask for a "joongo hand pone"

If you have a Korean friend tho get them to help you or else you'll pay too much. I've been told that you shouldn't pay over 50,000 for a decent used phone unless it's something flashy and top of the line.

Also, if you have a GOOD Korean friend then just bring it up and it's likely you'll end up with a free phone. Most Koreans have old cell phones lying around that they don't use and would be happy to give up. If you're looking for a used phone than I assume you're like me and don't care about the latest gadgets (ie. 3.2 camera, mp3). I've never had the best phone but I've been in Korea for one year and have had two free cell phones already and I'm about to get my third for free also.
