I know this has been covered but I can't find all the info I need in the various threads.
What exactly do I need to take to the consulate? The visa issuance paper, passport....how many photos? Anything else I need? Do I need to take my degree and transcripts? Anything I am missing or not thinking of?
I know I get the train to Namba station but which exit do I take from there and does anyone have directions to the consulate?
I am planning on trying to stay at the Sunlife Hotel as mentioned in a previous post. Will I be able to just say the name to a taxi driver or the address in English to the taxi driver? Should I get info on hotels at the airport and hope that they can give me directions?
I know this is a lot of info to ask for but I just need someone to spell it out for me instead of trying to get patches of info from various threads.
Thanks so much. |

You need to bring passport, the blue paper and two photos ( they only ever ask for one, but just to be on the safe side)
Basic info, including a map to the consulate from the station is here
Two things- go upstairs, not down at the consulate, and disregard info concerning time restraints. |

With regards the hotel dorections, just go to the hotel booth at the airport, and they will bring out a map and find your hotel for you. At least, they did for me.
At Namba, go out the NORTH exit until you come to the street. When you exit, you'll see a one-way street on your left, with the cars running towards you. You only have to walk up that street (away from the station, against the flow of cars), over a bridge and you'll find the consulate on the left hand side of the road (about a 10 minute walk all up). |
