I have a laptop from N. America. It has 3 prongs, but should be able to convert the power as it says up to 240....I am using a cheap adapter to make the plug fit, however, when I plug it in, there is a blue spark, it does go away, but will this ruin my laptop? Does it matter that the ground is not plugged in?
I am using the battery now, but need advice asap. |

| It * should* work, but a blue spark sounds ominous. A transformer box will cost you less than 20,000 and I assume both your computer and your peace of mind are worth more than that. |

i don't have a laptop so i may not be of much help... but, why don't you just buy a korean adaptor/transformer/power supply or whatever it's called? i mean just buy the cord that plugs into the wall and into your laptop?
couldn't be that hard to find and i'd imagine it'd be cheap enough |
