I like almost everything about my school. I've been here about 5 months and think about re-signing except for one thing--I only have 15 minutes for dinner (lunch during vacation schedule). My boss makes the food and brings it or orders it sent in, and I get 10 minutes between classes when it's not dinnertime. Anyway, I'm curious as to what other people get in the industry. My last school I got a half hour but that's what the other teachers wanted. This school it seems like they'd rather go home earlier.

We get 45 minutes or more depending on class scheduling.

How long is your work day? If it's only a 5 or 6 hour block, that's not too bad. Just eat before.

My lunch break is 5 hours long, and my dinner break is two hours long but what that really means is that I'm on a triple split shift (adult hogwon).

My day can vary. It's been as short as 4 hours but that's unusual. 6 and a half hours generally ( 6 classes and a half hour in advance for prep time).

About an hour or so.

Always had an hour, except one hagwon I worked at for 6 months, where we were supposed to have 30 minutes, but my scheduled worked out just so I got a 1 1/2 hour break.

We have 10m in breaks between classes and our lunch break is 20 mins. During Summer vacation I only have one free hour all week which flaas before lunch break. During the normal schedule I have 3 free classes, and each falls before or after lunch.

The only time it was a problem was when I had 2 hours extra classes on a Friday, which meant I had 7 hours teaching with only a 20 min break.

I worked a split shift so had anywhere from 1.5 hours to 3. Kind of nice to be able to run to the bank, buy groceries, and essentially do all of my errands in the middle of the day. The downside was that I didn't get off work until 6:30.

I work for a large company as their in house Business English Instructor. Everyone here gets a full hour and free food in the company cafeteria.

1-2 hours, depending on my schedule. So far there seems to be quite a bit of competition between the teachers, high school students, and middle schoolers re: who gets to eat lunch with me. I think the middle schoolers are a bit jealous as they always lose out. I'm sure the celebrity won't last forever, but it's quite a nice change from trying to down some kimbap surrounded by a bunch of little kids who want to throw a ball around with me.
