Ok, I tried the search function, but found nothing. I am looking for a store that sells educational kits/neat stuff, especially science-related. I am looking to put together science teaching kits, and need stuff like prisms, magnets, etc. I wouldn't have a problem finding things like that at home, but here, not even my Korean co-teachers can help me. Are there no teachers supply stores here? or educational enrichment stuff for parents? Any advice is appreciated... |

Head to your nearest Kim and Johnson's or English Plus.
Also some of the bigger book stores will have an ESL section.
Young Kwang book store in Busan has quite a bit,
I'm not sure but Kyobo should have too.
I'm not sure if they'll have exactly what you are looking for, but they do have a lot of stuff for kids. |

I run the kindy science program at my hogwan. I begged them to let me do it, and now I regret it sometimes...it is a lot of fun, but I have no budget, and I find it really difficult to get my hands on suitable gear.
In the past 6 months we have studied: human body, plants and seeds, animals, insects, measurement, properties of matter, and weather. We will continue with earth science, solar system, and super-simplified chemistry and physics. I try to do a lot of knowledge/vocabulary building, rather than just "neato" stuff.
Anyone with cool science ideas, fire them my way, I'm always looking! I really want to find a kid-geared science-supply source, if anyone has any leads... |
