Hey folks

We all know that Korea is pretty short on proper back-country... but I'd like to ask those of you in the know about hiking and trekking in the country's remotest corners. What are the remotest places and longest treks to be found in the ROK? I'm looking to do a lot of weekend camping trips this fall, plus the odd long-weekend excursion.

The longest trek I know of is a 65-km haul in Jiri-San National Park--a solid three-day trip. What else is there?

Thanks

TrouserX

Odae-san to Soraksan...I heard can take several days. Another good trek is from the front gate of Soraksan to the back gate... 2 days with a night at the peak.
