I downloaded google earth. Before i downloaded it I was scepticle that my works computer could handle it. Now i'm thinking it can't.
When I try to zoom in on an area i get this green blank blocking it. I pops up once i zoom in past a certain point. I'm guessing this is because my graphics card isn't good enough. Could it be something else? |

All the data is downloading from Google Earth servers; when you had this problem did you see a percentage in the lower right in white letters? You might just need to be patient.
I'm able to run it on a pIII 800 laptop with 4MB integrated video card, and on a PIII 733 with a voodoo 3000 32MB video card.
Have you played around with the Google Earth video settings?
Other than that, I have noticed that it appears to get slower as the program becomes more popular... maybe the server capacity is not keeping up with the bandwidth increase. |

| I turned off terrian and it works fine now. This is cool. I can see my house back home with it. It's just a dark blur though. |

It is extremely cool, no doubt about it.
I can clearly see my house, my work building, my old apt building in Seoul...
Check out the coordinates posted in the Google Earth Game in the off topic forum (it's a fun game, but I have an ulterior motive- I've been collecting the coordinates). |
