is there anyone here that's savy with powerpoint? I need to make a presentation that has sound, but it has to be e-mailed as part of an assignment. I tried to work on it at work, then e-mail it to myself. But no sound!
Is there a way to package it? Will it work as a .pps? (something like that) wanting to be able also to mouse over an image or text and have a graphic come on the slide. Possible? sorta like maybe a hyper link.
I can do the basics and a bit more. I'm wondering if I'm asking PPT to do too much.
even if someone knows a good site, that would help. |

I believe the sounds are suppose to be imbedded into the powerpoint document - so you can present on any computer, etc.
Must be something on your computer you are presenting it - perhaps the volume isn't turned up?
Regarding mousing over an image and having text come up. I'm not sure about that.. but there is another way where you can click your clicker (if doing the presentation while standing).. or hit the space bar (if sitting at the computer).. and it'll do the next scheduled step - for example, bringing in text or graphic that you want to show up next on that slide.
Most all of these are offered on newer PPT versions.. so if it seems like its non-existant on your version of PPT, then its possible you have an older version. |

Thanks for the reply TB, I found out how to make the mouse-over deal work, but still have to research how to embed the sound (or just go without).
I know PPT looks for the file in the same location on the computer it was created on (work). So I put it on a disk and brought it home.
I'll figure something out.
Thanks for the time. |

Have you checked out your settings in the "Set Up Show" window located in the "Slide Show" pull down menu?
If all else fails try using the stand-alone packaging feature meant to allow you to send/play your deck on machines without powerpoint installed, look for 'package' or 'package' show in one of the pulldowns (I believe 'file' or 'tools'). |
