I love my school but my principal and I have had a few issues. Apparently he's going to the education office. I'm hoping the next one will do what the rest of the area's prinipal's do and leave the foreigner alone.

Yeeeeeeeeeha.

Oo, what did he do to you?

I am starting a public school job next month and I am told that the principal of my school takes his job very seriously and is very interested in his students. Am a bit worried he might be on my back all the time, but I prefer to run my own ship too.

The first few weeks, the Principal and VP will be sniffing around, more so out of curiousity. Have your lessons planned thoroughly. Once they see everything is ok, they will leave you alone and it will be smooth sailing from there.

One more thing: Don't ask the other Korean teachers for permission about certain activities. Usually they will want to add their two cents to the project or refuse the idea. Just go with what you got and they will be none the wiser.

Isn't it great when a stressful coworker is kicked upstairs? It's amazing how all your stress in your life just goes away. A head guy in my school's office lived in the offictel right next door. He kept 4 yappy dogs in his apartment. When he came home every night at 3 am they would bark and howl and yap for a solid hour, waking me up. God. He moved. It's been nothing but silence since then. Oh sweet living!

And then my supervisor, sat to my immediate right. He would snap his bloody gum all day like a subway ajumaa. God. He eventually got kicked up to the middle/high school level. Ah. Quiet.

That's funny because mine has been promoted to the MOE office too. All the teachers are worried, as the word on the street is that the new one is pretty strict.

I love my job. After working a few weeks I started thinking, whos my boss? I asked a co-worker and he told me that I didnt have one. How cool is that?
