|
|
I went to immigration the other day to renew my F2 and E2 visas and it was done in about 2 hours.
Is this a new procedure?
Have the laws changed?
I couldn't believe it when the official said,"Please wait for your name to be called in about 20-30 minutes."
I was expecting a note that stated the date to return for pickup, but when they called my name they handed me my passport and ARC and I was stunned. I leafed through my passport and sure enough all the stamps were there and the modifications had been made to my ARC card as well.
It's nice to see positive changes developing at the immigration office. |

Minor slip, I should have been more specific.
2 hours total. Most of the time was waiting for my number to be chimed. Then a short 10-15(approx) wait for my name to be called.
The best part was that it was done during the lunch break with 2 people on staff.
I thought they shut down the whole operation once lunch time rolled around. |

| Also getting work approval (E2 stamp) only takes about 10 minutes. |

| yeah takes about 10minutes for them to do the renewal. Just a simple matter of checking your paperwork, then entering a new date into the computer, and printing the back of your card. |
