I need to transfer some funds from my Korean bank account to my account with SeaFirst bank in the US. Does anyone know how to do this?

Thanks.

You have to fill out a form at your bank. I can't type Korean on my keyboard, so I can't give you the name of the form.

You'll need your bank name, a branch address, your account number, and the routing number. The cost at my bank is 15,000 won. It's easy.

Cheers,
Q~

I haven't done it yet, but you should also bring along your passport. I believe some banks need to, or want to, write on your passport how much money they've transferred.

unless your pay is automatically deposited in your account by the school, you'll need something from them saying how much you get paid as well- just one of those things.

Hana Bank doesn't need a pay stub. And, I didn't need to open a bank account with them. I just go in with my money and passport and we do the transfer. They told me there's a limit of US$10,000 so sometime before the end of the year I'll have to open an account with them or find a different bank. They used to charge 7500 but recently changed it to 15000, but the english speaking teller is really cute, so I'll keep going back.

I have sent about 15 000 US$ home this year from Hana. Obviously you can't send it all at once, but if you can ovoid having them stamp your pass-port, it seems that they don't know how much you have sent. Try going to several different branches, they will probably send it, then ask for your pass-port, so thell them you don't have it, show them a phot-copy, or say good bye and leave the second the transaction is finished.

Like I said, the teller is really sweet, I couldn't say no to her...
