Do you know where Camp Walker Gate #6 is? If not, tell a taxi driver to go to "Camp Walk-uh chung moon". You'll know you're close when the taxi takes you down a long, straight road that has businesses lining it that are catered to foreigners and GIs. Right before you get to the gate, if you look on the left hand side of the street, you'll see a storefront that is advertising cheap calling cards and cellphones.
They usually have about 10-12 new and used cellphones in there that they sell to GIs and then they give back when their tour is up. Prices for used cellphones usually start at around 60-70K and go up to 400K for new ones. They'll set it up and tell you which service provider outlets you need to go to, to pre-pay your phone. |
