I am hoping to get a contract on Jeju next spring, and am curious to hear about other's experiences of living and working there. I am strongly leaning towards Seogwipo...Anyone heard of Yale Academy there?
If it seems a bit early to be scoping things out, it's because I am heading back for my second visit, over Chusok, and want to spend a few days checking out the "real life" amenities (shopping, gyms, those sorts of things) to give me an idea of what it would be like to live there (I have some experience of the hazards and joys of "island life" from back home, and I know that these things are worth investigating ahead of time...) Anyone who wants to meet for coffee while I'm there--lovely, PM me.
It seems that I can expect a pay cut...I see little over 1.9 offered by institutes; anyone out there who can tell me about public school gigs?
any info, insight, opinions welcome...

Hmmmm....not much response! I guess everyone must be out biking, climbing mountains, and swimming at the beach, too busy and fulfilled to spend time on the board...
