| At two of the grocery stores around here are smallish red and yellow jars of something from Lee Kum Kee/Panda company (Chinese food). The only English says 'Tuban Djan' (or maybe 'Toban Djan'). From the bottom of the jar, it looks like chili paste with garlic. Is it? It sits next to the Oyster Sauce. Is that similar enough to hoisen sauce to substitute? |
