Mere days after Canada was screwed out of billions of dollars over softwood lumber, they were one of the first nations to offer assistance (troops, money and supplies) to help with hurricane relief in New Orleans. The Cdn government realized that friends help rather than retaliate in times of need.
Despite the fact that the first offer was refused by Bush, it was later accecpted by Rice.
I just want all all americans to realize that despite all our petty little bullshite arguments, we're all in this together. I think than all Canadian's hearts go out to the hurricane victims.
Let's hope that this disaster is not a harbinger of things to come.
Despite my desire to blame a certain administration for callousness towards their own citizens, I will try to refrain from making this a political discussion. (However, I guess i'm not doing too well).
Let's stop with all the crap and focus on the pressing issues.
