So I just signed up for a long-distance plan in America, so I can call Korea. I'll pay $45 a month, and for that I can call land lines for free and cellphones for 3 cents/minute (doesn't matter nights, weekends, or anything else). But since my girlfriend only has a cellphone that means my bill will go up $15 -- $20 a month.

On the other hand, I could easily switch to another carrier with a better plan, if I knew of one. Does anybody here know of a provider with a better deal than the one I've got now?

My family uses calling cards; they got some that are as low as .01 a min, plus a .50 connection fee. No addition cost for cells!

Yeah I had been using a phonecard I bought in the airport (probably not a great idea, but hey, I was desperate). It's been continuously *beep* me ever since ($1.26/minute!)

Where does your family get those cards? What's the company?

They found it on the net. I just sent an email to my sister. Ill get back to you as soon as she gets back to me.

Thanks all. Those phone cards at speedypin are awesome. I can't believe Sprint makes one that only charges 2c/minute when I was paying through the nose on the other one I bought from them. Lousy fuckers.
