Lotteria is the number one fast food chain in Korea but they seem to have lost to McDonald's in terms of winning the hearts and minds... My evidence:

I drew a burger, fries, and a coke on the blackboard. Next to it I drew the Lotteria Sun and Spaceship... errr wait reading too much Foundation... I drew the Lotteria L and Sun logo. My students are like "what's that?"

"That's the Lotteria logo."

"Really?"

I drew the Golden Arches (TM).

"What restaurant is this?"

"McDonald's."

Hrm. I pointed it out to my GF and even she admitted she wouldn't recognize the Lotteria logo by itself.

Maybe it was your artwork. They may not know the logo, but if you ask them which is better, they'll almost unanimously say Lotteria even though they may actually not believe it.

Lotteria is the most disgusting food ever imaginable. I stumbled into a Lotteria on my first day in Korea. It was my first meal (if you want to call it that) in Korea. I thought to myself, "what the hell did I get myself into?"

Yep, that Lotteria place makes Mcdonalds semi food seem like a 3 star Michelin place. I remember trying their 'wellbeing burger' and it was truly revolting, I might another if I was starving but then again I might just eat my clothing, hair, fingernails and toenails instead. 'Lotteria where the furniture and menu tastes better than the food'.

Honestly I have a few bad meals in my life but the 'wellbeing' burger has to be one of the most revolting things ever devised, I suspect it was inspired by some north Korean biological weapons experiments or something.

I like their shrimp burgers. The fries are pretty good. The pat bing soo is decent. I dunno. It's just greasy fast food and I don't think too much about it beyond that. It's White Castle. I make no pretenses about finding a Michelin star.
