I never thought I'd see this on Fox, but Shepard Smith and Geraldo Rivera were livid about the lack of help given to the refugees still in New Orleans. Shepard Smith pointed out that there are checkpoints around the Convention Center, obviously set to prevent the people from leaving.

Check out the other videos too:

How come there's no Fox News link?
Are Rivera and Smith getting the boot?

Edit: I see that the link has Fox video to download.

That's pretty moving video and pretty damning evidence, even if you adjust for Rivera's infamous penchant for exaggeration.

How come we haven't heard from that Guard General Honore whathisname for a few days? He seemed ready to kick ass and take names and get things done... Was he not in charge of distributing what the relief convoys brought in?

Everyone keeps talking about being locked up in the center, but take this into perspective:

A lot of the looting and shootings have almost become non-existent after the military arrived and kept people off the street.

Wasn't one of the large complaints about the media focus on the looting going on?

Now that has completely stopped, so it's on to the next thing to gripe about.

I mean, you can't always have the best of everything.

Before the official military convoy & its aid arrived, CNN was broadcasting that people were literally being turned back on the main bridge out of the city by troops & police with shotguns and the like Shocked

Both reporters will no doubt be axed for their displays of emotion and lack of clear answers.

Its a lot easier to keep your calm controlled demeanour when you're sitting in a studio, than when you're surrounded by the stench of suffering people.

Two politicians, whose names I will not mention, were sitting in an almost-round office somewhere. One of them turns to the other and says, "Hey, do you remember all of that Sh#* we took for letting the looters take control in Iraq? I have a great idea! Let's tell everyone that there's food and water at the superdome. Then we'll lock them in there, and no one will be able to get out and loot!"

Yes, there have been reports that police officers for the town of Gretna turned people away.

Right, a lot like being in a war-zone. If you're lucky, mind you, you manage to keep your distance & stay aloft, holed up in your ivory tower "studio" war room.

A lot easier to keep clear headed & "rational" from here when the bombs start going off Twisted Evil

Judging from your posts we'll clearly have to make an exception for you.

Dude, you are Chicken Little incarnate.
Anda would be proud.

Got any more "EARWITNESS" reports?

And when are you going to get around to reading that 'RCMP review' that you 'can't hardly believe' was published?
