Does anyone have any opinions about working in Dageu specifically Yale Language Institute there. They are supposed to be really big and offer good benefits and single housing. Has anyone had any experiences in Dageu and or Yale?

I will tell some friends of mine about this post, anyway I am sure you will get some response.

They seem to be a good school, especially compared to other schools.

Thank you very much. They seem like a great school that would not rip off anyone. They even provided pictures of the apartment and it single. Any info is greatly appreciated.

Most people I now who work for Yale say it is a good school. But you will have to work just a little bit harder. This once is a serious about prep and doing your work. Not like my school!

Go for Yale you could end up in worse schools!

there are two different Yale companies in DAEGU.
one, located in SUNG-SEO, has a pretty poor history.

the other, which i work for, could possibly be one of the best where living conditions are concerned.
the company i work for has locations in Jisan Dong, Beomeo Dong, and Siji Dong.

i have worked for this company off and on for 3 years. the owners are completely trustworthy, and fair. they do business in a more western style...therefore you dont have to put up with the egotism, and irrational behavior that most korean hogwan owners live by.
the company has a great reputation with its students, and doesnt have to advertise to maintain a rapidly growing enrollment.

anyway, i dont want to write too much, because im not sure if this is the company you are questioning.
Pm me if you want more info.

God idea, I just sort of wanted to be in Seoul because of all of the expatriates and a good support system. Is there a great deal of foreign English teachers in Dageu? Are there a lot of things for a foreign person to do and get together with other English speakers especially Koreans that speak English and can help me? I was very worried about this. What has bee your experience?

Guys:

Addressing the issue about there being two Yale companies in Daegu, all I know is that the person I am working with is named Ian. I have no idea what part of town this particular school is in.

Thanks guys!

Yah I think you are dealing with the right person. That bastard Ian. I went for an interview sat in some classes. And they refused me! Even at a time they were looking for people!

Anyways knocking that chip of my shoulder. You are dealing with a good school! As to foreigners and Daegu not shortage of white faces (black and brown too). Daegu is a big enough city.

If you goto Siji School do be sure to ask about Beerworld. Siji has a large foreigner population and a WALMART to boot. As to Bomo you are a short cab ride from downtown. Jisan-dong another place with a large foreigner population.

Good Luck!
