does anyone know how much it costs to send a letter to Canada? just a regular letter.

And also, does anyone know what the hours of the post office are?

Not very much.. just go to the post office and they will tell you. As for hours.. i think they are open till 6. Again, they would have the hours on the door.

It depends on the weight, but definitely not much compared to home... I've sent letters back to NZ for less than 1000won.

I remember when I'd been here 2 or 3 days & wanted to mail a letter to my family. Had it in an airmail envelope & everything. My new co-workers gave me directions to the post office but I couldnt find it.

So I stopped a cop walking by, showed him the letter, & shrugged inquiringly. He gave it a lot of thought then decided to call someone on his cellphone. Much discussion. He indicates to follow him & we walked 3 or 4 blocks where we met up with 2 more cops. Much more discussion & headscratching & another call, maybe to headquarters?

Finally I get a bunch of convoluted instructions I cant understand that seem to involve taking a bus. I thank them with a smile & walk home with my unmailed letter.

Turns out I was right next to the post office in the first place!

Anyway, its very cheap.

You see that's what threw the first cop.
Thinks, " Wayguk seems to be asking me where the post office is, but he is standing right next to it. Question must be somethng more complex. Call for back up."

Cheap is true, I sent documents via the Post Office courier service to Guatemala, 25,000, and for mywife to send them back it's going to cost her close to US$80.

they weigh letters so it will depend on the price, but I sent two envelopes home this morning. a small card which cost 350W and a big envelope with about 200 letters, pictures and small gifts which cost 11,000W ( Mom asked my students to send her letters)
