Toyota Betrays Korea... Again
Japan's Toyota Motor Corp. dumped its Korean partner Shinjin Motor and withdrew from Korea to pursue its own interests in the 1960s.... An imported car dealer who helped Toyota re-establish itself in the Korean market for years was ousted after Toyota established a local subsidiary in Korea.... Back on Friday, Toyota Motor Korea held a press conference to offer an official apology for the hoopla over the Lexus LS 430 and ES 330. As the Korean press pointed out the engines' inflated horsepower claims, the Japanese carmaker hurriedly called a news conference.

| Funny how the Korean press isn't talking about the fact Hyundai has been found to inflate the HP of its own cars. |

(Suposed Historical) China had impact in Korea long before Japan did. If Korea won't wake up to today's reality, the Chinese may reassert their rightful place in this peninsula before Japan ever does. (Just stirring ) |

| I had a Hyundai Sonata before I came to Korea, and I think it was comparable in quality to the Toyota Corolla I had previously. They used to be way behind ... |
