forgot this question..
does anyone know if I can use my Canadian cell phone here? Its a CDMA and operates on the SK frequencies (LG phone actually).

A majority of Korean cell networks are CDMA (CMDA2000 1x & W-CDMA), but compared to North America they are more advanced. Also your phone is probably locked and a CDMA phone has a built-in code to connect to the network and the provider is the only one who can recover it. Take advange of the advanced cell phone market in Korea and buy a phone now that will probably reach North American 1-2 years later.

I think this might have been covered before, but i can't seem to find a straight answer.
what about going the other way? are there phones available in korea, that could then be taken back to North America (Canada specifically) and connected there? I'd love to get an answer on this one... |
