Just wanted to post this in case RR missed it. (From Saturday's Chosun Ilbo.)

Based on statistics as of July last year, the World Bank this year ranked South Korea 48th in the world with a per-capita income of US$13,980. The number of countries that have achieved a per-capita income of $20,000, which we have regarded as the criterion since the 1990s and accordingly set as our goal, has already grown to 35.

Just to run the figures...

If you are making the standard 2.2 million, that's W26,000,000. Then add in the free housing which most people would agree is worth SOMETHING, you end up with a figure pretty near W30 million a year...all for having the luck to have a mother teach you English. Not bad.
