The theme song to the Dukes of Hazzards comes to mind.

Just the good ol' boys,
Never meanin' no harm,
Beats all you've ever saw, been in trouble with the law since the day they was
born.

Straight'nin' the curve,
Flat'nin' the hills.
Someday the moutain might get 'em, but the law never will.

Makin' their way,
The only way they know how,
That's just a little bit more than the law will allow.

Just good ol' boys,
Wouldn't change if they could,
Fightin' the system like a true modern day Robin Hood.

Before you ask how an expat should act online you might consider how you can prove anyone here is an expat (or prove that anything else they say about themselves is true).
For example, How do you know that I'm not actually a 56 year old single woman from Renfrew with 15 cats and who has never set foot outside of Ontario in her life?
And if I'm really just a 15 year old Korean-Canadian geek from Etobicoke, could you or should you hold me to the same standards of netiquette as a 30 year old ESL instructor living abroad?
