Boring and not very entertaining at all, in my opinion anyway.

It was OK. Not as good as 'Gangs of New York' but better than 'Bring out the Dead'. Scorsese's gone downhill. So he'll probably win his Oscar for it.

why does he have to be better ever film? thats not fair to put that kind of pressure on a film maker!
Gangs was a great film great casting and great art direction..
but it was a completely different film to aviator..
the aviator was a great film.. if you look closely at the detail and read about hwoard huges they kept it real! the lavish sets, clothes, big scenes, the film was an EPIC and a great one at that!
martin is far from going down hill.. but I think he will stop making EPICS now. they too expensive and demanding. but martin is one of the greatest in our generation..
if the movie is not to your liking due to genre or content.. dont say its bad film or compare it.. its a different movie try to look at it and try ti understand what he was trying to capture.. if you ask me he did a great job. and he shouldnt win the oscar for his last movies becuase he has never won.. he should win becuase this was the best film of the year!

The movie was too long, too long, too long

But that is normal Scorsese style. I think that it would have been even greater if it was 20 minutes shorter.

I was overwhelmed, and I'm sure of that one
'cause I learned it back in grade school
