| For the love of god, does anyone know anywhere in Korea that I can watch the AFL Grand Final (Australian Rules Football)??? Its not for a couple of weeks yet, just trying to find out in advance. Thanks. Go Crows! |

The Australia New Zealand Chamber of Commerce in Korea (ANZCCK) are putting on an AFL Grand Final BBQ at the Millenium Hilton Hotel. They'll be broadcasting the game live on a big screen. The cost is W50,000 for non-members which includes a BBQ lunch, Australian wine, beer and soft drinks.

My friend went last year and said it's well worth the W50,000. |

ABC Asia Pacific is broadcasting all the finals of both codes.

so are they showing the semi-finals (afl and nrl) this weekend on the ABC channel as well? Live? No payment involved?
Hope so, that would be sweet. My Chuseok would be all planned....... |

Same thing, no sound for me. I also tried with the free internet tv program which also had ABC Asia Pacific channel and it didn't have sound either (for the ABC channel.)
Sounds like an evil Liberal-Howard plot to me. Bob Hawke or Paul Keating would have definitely included sound. 
Edit:
Possible solution. Watch the video on ABC silent Asia-Pacific and listen to the commentary on internet radio. Does Triple-J still do the AFL Grand Final broadcast?
Re-Edit: Too late for anyone else for this year's final, but I installed the Storm 5.something codec pack and ABC Asia Pacific now has sound.

Roy Slaven & HG Nelson? You betcha.
ABC Grandstand radio will also broadcast / netcast the GF from about 12:30pm Korea time. Get yer Hites and OBs ready.
BTW - if u have cable TV with Star Sports out of Hong Kong, they may play it live (anyway they did in 2001, last year I was there for a footy GF)
