Come on you guys, fifteen threads about Jesus is getting a little boring. All I've been hearing since college is "jesus this" and "jesus that" from the Jesus freaks. If I had a hagwon kid repeat the same conversation every time I met him (and I do) it would bore me to tears within a month. This Jesus stuff, true or not, has been done to death and I think we should all just face the facts. Jesus is boring.

Furthermore, God isn't worth wasting precious time on. I have a couple hagwon students who've refused to speak to me for two weeks and I'm damn well not amused. God has been giving us the silent treatment for two thousand years or more now, and it just goes to show how immature He is. I guess he's kind of a jerk.

Why waste your time on the likes of Jesus and God? You people need girlfriends.

I'm not a Christian, but Jesus was the man.

And theology is fascinating.

All Glory to Jesus, but the recent flooding of the this forum by so-called Christians (probably none of whom understand and follow the "Thou Shalt Not Kill" Commandment) is unwittingly counterproductive and is unnecessarily agitating some people - even provoking a few to blaspheme ...

I count 6 anti-Christian threads and 3 pro, the latter being created all by one poster.

My post says nothing about Christians, don't count it.

Sorry, it counts. (Hint: you used the word "Jesus freaks")

Really? And I suppose you count Blunder's question about Hell as "anti-christian" too?

Right on Joe. Boring is exactly the problem - nothing to do with what most of us care about, I think. Concerete and tangible things are more relevant.

So I'm curious - why won't your students talk to you? Do you actually try to reason with your students concerning religious matters? If so, be careful! Imagine what the devout parents who brainwashed their kids in the first place would think!
What did you say to them?

This thread would be a lot more interesting with popcorn and condoms.

Oh no, nothing like that. I was just making a point that somebody giving me the silent treatment is being immature and obnoxious. We didn't discuss religion or anything! The kids are just brats.

Have you ever thought about this:

Maybe God is talking to you, but you cannot hear Him because you are too focused on the here and now.

Just because you can't hear God, doesn't mean he doesn't talk.

Depends whether the deaf man can get out the way quickly enough.

I for one have been happy with the increase in religious posts. Glory be to God.

Well, if you aren't into a thread, then don't post in it. If Christians want to wallow together in the good news of the lord, then why try and stop them or slash in their porridge? There are lots of other threads about 'k-gals and their bust sizes' etc to keep people entertained.

Why not combine the best of both, and start a thread "Christians and their bust sizes"?

This isn't a zero-sum game. Jings, if there's something else to talk about, start a thread on it...
