I left Korea December last year and came to Vietnam a short time later. Completed TEFL and taught at a great language center teaching really great vietnamese students for 7 months. My new job is in a Korean International school where there are 700 students from kinder to high. Its on the outskirts of HCMC. The area is called district 7, or Phu My Hung. Its a very interesting area, full of completley brand new offices, houses, shops, hospital and schools. Most of the buildings are empty just waiting for the development to come. You can see the Korean influence in the apartment blocks which could be in any Korean town.....I think there is a hell of a lot of Korean investment out here and in HCMC/Vietnam in general.
I thought I had escaped, but I'm back to avoiding playing kids on the floor and ġ for lunch everyday - lucky I love korean food! |
