When I go shopping in the US, nearly every store wants to know if I have their membership/credit card, if I've signed up for their club, if I know about their points reward system.. this is especially true for clothing stores and bookstores. It's close to 100% certainty that they will ask, and then badger, upon checkout.

Do I want a wallet full of membership cards for three different smoothie stores, every clothing store I've been to, and two for each coffee house and bookshop in a 500-mile radius?

Shopping in Korea is annoying as hell. Checking out at a store in America is hell.
