Q. Where can I find coconut milk in this country?

I'm a short train/longer subway ride to Seoul. If you say Namdemun market give me some specifics please. (I checked one store - Thai fish sauce yes - coconut milk no)

Thanks.

Hannam Supermarket. Take line 7 to Hanganjin station, look for the Volvo building in the Southeast. It's in the basement.

I live in Wonju, and I buy coconut milk at my local Hanwa mart. Also salsa, Carlsberg beer, Chinese chili sauce (great for tofu stirfry). I'm surprised by the amount of imported goods they carry. So. . .look for a Hanwa mart near you, they might have it. Otherwise, Hannam supermarket near Itaewon carries it.

I'm a pretty big fan of a store in Itaewon on the street that runs along that hill just behind the Hamilton Hotel. It specializes in Thai, Indian and Pakistani ingredients. They sell curries, spices, and several different vatieties of coconut milk and coconut cream.

They also sell pre-mized packages of briyani rice seasoning and tandoori chicken mix.

Prices are reasonable. It's midway down that road (to the left, from HH), towards Pattaya restaurant.
