This should go on Dave's site under the teaching tips part, and yet here it is.

I teach at a tiny hagwon and the kids are little $hits. The book isn't great either (High Five series) so whenever there's a small dialogue, we'll read it once then get up and MAKE A MOVIE!!!

The kids all take roles and then one guy (usually the most scatalogically minded) gets to be the cameraman. The camera must ALWAYS, ALWAYS be a ROLL OF TOILET PAPER, and the kid shoots the movie by peering through the hole in the middle. It's better if the toilet paper is still there for comedy's sake. He doesn't escape from speaking English either, because he calls the "Action" and "Cut" if there's a mistake.

It gets the kids up and assuming natural poses instead of just looking at their books (which is reading really, not conversing). I'm no edumacator but I'm sure the kinesthesis solidifies things. And the toilet roll ensures that the kids like to do it and they have fun. I'll do this about once a fortnight with a few classes. If anyone misbehaves then the second function of the toilet paper becomes apparent: wrap it around them and turn them into a mummy~~

Kung Fu Hustle, that's a really creative idea!

We need more teachers like you, to help overpower the textbook junkies.

By the way, what country are you from?
I know what "fortnight" means, but in the United States, we don't use that word very much.
