so i drink a lot, so i smoke a lot, so be it all...........i am sitting here with my co workers and having fun, having a drink or two, or three..........we just had a debate about why us guys dont have a hwegook gal.........i honestly find nothing wrong with the grls here, i just find them generally unavailable..........truthfully, i find the most disgusting fellas are with generally good looking women.....this tells me korean women are just basically stupid...............dog faced boy with a decent looking woman......give me an fing break!!! the reason i have a korean girlfriend, and yes, i am a dog faced guy, is that she is the only woman to pay attention to me in the last three years.............i have no fetish for korean women, trust me, i think most of the gals that come to work here are quite beautiful, however, i work with those gals, and therefore it is inconcievable..............i have had the same girlfriend for three years now, and we love each other and live with each other very well..........i have often considered a 'foreign' girlfriend, but i have this question to ask you girls..........where were you when i was lonely?
where were you? you unsupportive louts.....................

Ahhh, yes. I noticed that. Right off. And that's what made it so refreshing, I thought. Frankly though, I didn't like the post (which for me is a rare occurrence) until the line "and yes, I am a dog faced guy".... From then on it was blinding brilliance. I wish Darl would post more. And continue the frequent use of the word "gals".

I guess I have a Korean girlfriend for many different reasons. Yes, a single man can get a little lonely while residing on the other side of the planet. And most of the foreign women over here are not as attractive as the average Korean girl. I would date a fellow waygook if I met the right girl. I really think us guys have better times over here than most of our female counterparts.

Korean women simplify your life so much. Having a KG can be awesome especially if you dont know the language; I was at Outback Friday night and meet another waygook couple. My Korean girlfriend and I ended up having dinner with them. It was funny when we ordered; they repeated their order to the server a few times while I sat back and let my girl take care of ours. Also, whenever I need anything, shell pick it up for me or knows where we can go to get it. No need for posting, please help my find .

Congrats on your relationship of 3 years, my girl and I are going to celebrate our 100 day anniversary next week. I am not trying to be mean, but Im curious if your girl knows that youre a dog faced guy? My GF thinks Im very handsome. Many other people say it all the time to me too, oh handsome man! It really gets old after a while. I think Im just an average guy, albeit one of the better looking waygooks in Korea. Do you get, oh, you handsome guy too?

The use of the word 'gal' really annoys me. It's pureile. 'K-gal' makes me clench my teeth.

You could look like the ass end of an adjuma and they would still say "OH, you so handsome, you look like movie su-tarrrr......" Laughing

Really? I don't consider it pureile (it's puerile). I rather like it because it's so annoying, because it's so schmaltzy. Teeth-clenching? mmm... yes. But I'm fond of words that make others clench their teeth, and so I'm hoping Darl will post more. I want to ask him, though, if his frequent use the word "gal" a conscious effort, or did he just grow up using the word. I hope it's the latter, and that he might also be one of those who can say things like "jeepers!" without subtly gauging people's reaction to it. (unlike myself)

As for "k-gal", yes, that is simply wretched. It is too close to "kogal" and conjures up unfortunate images of... well these images, specifically:

I cant speak for everyone, but for me, there is such a huge hype about how attractive Korean girls are and how foreign girls are not, that it just seems pointless to even bother.... How can we compete? The only couples I have met where both are foreigners are when they got together in their home country and came here together. Other than that all my coupled friends and people Ive met are mixed couples.

Besides, there is so much travel that I want to do that I dont want to be tied down anyways.

Gee whillikers, I find your usage keen.

Last week I teased a co-worker that her shirt was too thin and I could see her brasiere. She still hasn't forgotten: "BRASIERE? What, are you my grandmother? Sounds like a Dairy Queen burger!" I'm old.
