Okay,

I recently went to Yongsan to purchase some DVD's. I went to one of those booths that offer the dvd's for 3,000 won. Anyhow, I chose a few and went up to pay for them. The owner looks through them and then chooses the last one and says that it is 6,000 won. Well, everything is clearly demarcated at 3,000 per dvd. He then gives this spiel about how I chose this one off the back wall and that they are 6,000 each. Funny, nothing is stated on the wall. Also, this guy is as dumb as a brick because I chose 3 from that shelf...amazing how the others were 3,000 but that last one was double the price. Anyhow, he started to put all the dvds in the bag...figuring that I'd accept the price...figuring that the waeguk will pay the measly double price because he makes easy money here. Well, my dvd stall owner, you failed. Your greed caught up with you. I turned around and walked out. He must have been pissed. I then went to the next vendor and bought the dvds in plain sight. It was priceless. Try to be a less greedy *beep* next time. So, to those of you that go to Yongsan, watch out for the rips. I'm sure that that copy of "Stagecoach" will be sitting for some time...............

Maybe you were mistaken and his feelings were hurt. Next thing we'll be hearing about violence against foreigners at Yongsan and you'll have contributed in a small way. People, why can't we all just get along!?

Nah, no mistake on my part. He was just trying to scam me...probably has done it many times in the past. When I pluck three off of that shelf and he only takes the last one(obviously at random) and tries to charge me double then he got what he deserves. No signs anywhere...only the ones saying 3,000 won. If you tolerate being jerked around, that's your business. I don't.
