we have been around since 2002. If you are 40 (or close to it) and over, this group is for u. We are just a friendship group. We meet once a month for lunch. we have a message board and a web site, and people meet at other times. Nope, life does not begin at 40, nor does it end there either. I am going to be 53 in 2 weeks. I am pretty contented now. But then again, I think I have mostly been contented.
As far as the group, anyone really can join. I just started it in 2002 cause I wanted to meet people my age. I have pleanty of friends in their 20's also. Well, not plenty, but some.
When we are here teaching, seems no matter what age we are, we connect.

Rapier, last time I went, there was a chap from Zimbabwe there. I did think it might be you but he hadn't lived in UK and was smoking roll-ups much less efficacious than yours.
Edit: a most pleasant way to spend Sunday lunctime ... good food, a couple of beers ... |
