Let's talk about something important! Coffee!
(Please pick your usual option and defend your choice!) |

I don't drink coffee. I am told by my doc that the high concentration of caffeine is what makes me itch and blotchy
I, like bo, drink tea - decaf tea at that (at least for now as I am nursing Letty, still). |

I buy the big cans of Kirkland Colombian coffee at Costco and brew it in a coffee-maker. Sadly, there is no Starbucks in my part of the world. |

I am a proud patron of the Edae Starbucks. If you ever see a woman pull up on a bicycle, and get coffee in a personal mug, that's me! I go there because it's on my route to school.
I also go to the Gwanghwamun, Shinchon, Shinchon II, City Hall and Daehan Cinema on occassion, and others if I happen to be in the neighborhood, but not usually. The one's above are all places I go regularly because they are on my rounds somehow... weekend study spot, close to school, close to school, where I transfer the bus if I take a bus to school, and close to my photo lab if I wait for the developing with a book.
Edae is the best. Why? Because I like the 'partners' and because it has three floors and a cozy atmosphere. And they change the music when I ask them nicely. And everyone remembers what I order.
I'm from the Seattle area and used to live in Seattle. Somehow it reminds me of home, even though if I was in Seattle I'd probably go to everywhere else BUT Starbucks for my coffee. Isn't that weird? It's like my hometown team, kind of. I can't help but be proud they've done well this season, even though I am convinced they are sell-outs with a lower quality product than some other places.
Besides there are only TWO Seattle's Best Coffee shops in Seoul, and most of the other non-Starbucks that I've tried don't make the coffee strong enough for me.
I only ever get Americano and today I got one at a Cafe Grazie and it was weak, lame, watery... ugh! |

We have Tim Horton coffee and the B.C. ....
I drink Timmies in the morning. 2 or 3 cups~ nice and strong. When we're out, it's Kirklan Columbian coffee.
My doctor told me not to drink instant coffee from the machine. Says that it'll kill ya!
I have a cup at Esmerelda outside of the HongDae gate (quadruple shot!). Much obliged. I also drink coffee at my favorite coffee shop Kaldi cafe. Mr. Suh & co. are very serious about their coffee and SCUBA diving.
I also love Coffee Bean accross from the Hong dae gate. I also love the Starbucks down the street with my laptop I'm surfing the wireless waves. That pretty well does it for me in this neighborhood. I never drink it after about 5pm.

P.S. Has anyone seen Nabob's Swiss water decaf anywhere around town? |

Considering we are in Korea, I think it's irresponsible of the OP not to include an option for those pre-formulated instant coffee packets that are ubiquitous here. I have two or three cups of that instant stuff every day. |

Seen far to many hard core Timmies addicts back home to take up coffee. Tea on the other hand. . got at least 5 kinds in the house right now. |

I avoid that one because I don't want to look like some white loser trying to pick up on Edae chicks. I did stop there last week on my way to Severance Hospital for a check up. I was there about 9 am. It was nothing but a parade of 21 year old women's legs... |

Mindmeto,
Shinchon II is right around the corner from Severance, why go to Edae? But I do see your point, if I was a man, I might feel uncomfortable in a coffee shop that always has 9 women or more for every 1 guy. |
