Incheon->Bangkok 524,000 (August 2008) RT
Busan->Bangkok->LA 1,100,000 One way(January 2008)
LA->ST. Louis 120,000 One Way (March 2008)

I was looking at going to Japan for Chuseok and they want like 550,000 for a 1.5 hour flight. That's crazy when you can fly 2 or 4 thousand miles for a couple hundred bucks in most parts of the world. Of course, Japan is said to be crazy expensive where coins are worth 5 to 10 dollars each and you drop them in buses and other things like there is no tomorrow. I think the Beetle ferry is overpriced at 270,000 RT to Japan as it just wouldn't cost that much anywhere else for a 3 hour ferry. The train is also over $200 one way to Tokyo. eeeek! sticker shock. Talk about restrictions and keeping it competitive between Japan and Korea. I bet I'd spend $1200 to $1500 bucks on a weekend to Japan! Yikes!

Well, to change your track of thoughts right off the bat...

I'm a teetotaler, I go to coffee shops for coffee, and I'd never screw a prostitute while she was on duty.

That aside, Amsterdam is a cool city and I'll go back.

Damn. Share the love, brother SoJo! I was thinking of doing this myself. Fly to BKK and then back to San Fran or LA. It'd probably be cheaper than Inch-->SF/LA.

~ 120 bucks to go from LA to St Louis. Nice. Those cheap fares are out there if you dig enough.

I got that through Unique Travel in Itaewon, Seoul. I bought it on August 5th and flew on August 16th. It took a week to get the Eticket, but they sent it once they secured a seat. All seats are booked and then people start canceling during the final days leading up to the flight date and then those seats go at rock bottom prices. There also were no fuel surcharges and the 524,000 won included the tax and any other fees. The dude I was sitting next to who I ended up partying with for a couple days, paid 1.4 million for the same flight as I had! It didn't matter since his Korean mother in Seattle pays his way and he doesn't have to work. He's a Korean/American who just travels the world and parties his ass off like it's 1999. Hell yea! That is so cool.

I got the cheap fair on Southwest from LA to St. Louis. I bought it directly from them on their web site. They got us from point A to point B, but the flight was on an old airplane with terrible customer service. It was so ghetto.
