A friend of mine who also lives in Seoul desperately wants to see the red sox / yankees game Saturday morning at 8:05 AM (our time). Where might we be able to see this televised? Will it be on AFN or anything like that? Any place in Itaewon?

Thanks!

Last year I think I paid about ten bucks a month (from the start of the season) to watch any games on MLB.com, but this year it's more of a rip-off - for $19.95 you can watch any games you want live only through Oct. 2 (and you have to convince them that you're not living in a blacked out area - my last legal address in the U.S. was in N.Y. so I had to call them to prove that I was living in Korea... ) It's a better deal to just watch the Korean cable sports channels that usually cover the most important games this time of year. (You might also try to find an internet radio station broadcasting it so you can just turn off the TV sound...) Anyway, I'm a die-hard Red Sox fan (although I was disappointed that they let go of their best pitcher -Pedro - go and kept the older Republican guy (Schilling) - although he did very generously help some Katrina victims, if I recall ...

Yeah, baby!

The next question is: do I stay up until a quarter past 2 tonight to see if the game is shown live?

My buddy eventually paid the 10 bucks to MLB for all the games this weekend. I think he showed up to the PC bang at very odd hours with headphones, beer/popcorn in hand. Thanks.

An excellent channel(if you like watching baseball or wrestling) is the X-Sports channel(available in some cable packages). They show several games a day(getting feeds from Fox). They are showing all the Yankee-Red Sox games.

They showed the Tanks/Sox game on Saturday, but it wasn't live.

Yeah, they show the games again...if you want to see it live, you have to stay up at until 2am or so when it starts. I watched the second game live at around 2:30 in the morning. X-ports is a decent channel(as far as for sports here in Korea). Not a lot of other options...just be thankful that you even get the channel. Now, soon we'll find out if they show any NHL(probably not)....
