Hi, I was wondering if I have an F-4 when I am able to get my pension back, I have read some threads saying that you have to leave the country, for those on the E-2, but nothing on the F-4. If anyone can help me out that would be great!

If you're not leaving the country and you have an F4, you'll probably get your pension along with the rest of the country...when you retire.

Since, I am from the U.S. is there a way to defer me from having to pay into the national Pension?

Um, no. You have to pay into the pension plan. And, it's a good thing. You get the employer's contribution along with your own refunded when you leave the country. Yes, even on an F4. You're not really all that different from other foreigners except for a few added benefits.

Is it possible for me to leave the country for a couple of months and get my pension, and then return and start working again, and pay into a new pension with a new or the same employer?

You can file an exemption form and not pay into the Korean National Pension scheme. Then you can get higher pay directly from your employer. I did.
